Art Show

The La Pine Frontier Days Art Show got it's start many years ago when the wonderful local artist Arlene Shaw came to us wanting to start a venue for local artists to display their work. Her art class business, "A Little Bit of Art", hosted the show for many years, and it is directly due to Arlene's efforts that is now a premier Art Show featuring dozens of local and regional artists! Who knew we had such talented folks right here in our community!

One of the most fun features of the Art Show is the Youth Division. Arlene and her helpers take entries from local students and carefully and lovingly mat them for optimum display...the kids love seeing their efforts being displayed in such a professional manner! Look for applications for the Student Art Show on this website in the near future!

This year marks the official "takeover" of the Art Show by the Frontier Days Association...we still have Arlene as the head honcho, but the show has become bigger than any of us ever expected! We encourage anyone to come display their works (and have them for sale as well)...we love to see all media of paints, but also encourage local sculptors and photographers. Call the Frontier Days Office for applications to display this year.

This year the artwork will be on display all 4 days of the Frontier Days Celebration....don't miss it!
